Things To Consider When You Purchasing A Smartphone!

Today’s vast range of Smartphone brands, specifications, and features have left customers in a perpetual dilemma. There are people who are loyal to the brand and are only going to buy phones from a particular brand, but there are others who are always on the run and want to try new brands.

The global Smartphone market is huge, with annual sales of more than one billion smartphones. The question is how many of these buyers are satisfied with their decision? The post-purchase dissonance phenomenon is a real thing that occurs when a person is not satisfied with their purchase.

We have compiled a list of features and requirements to consider when you purchase a product.

1.Screen Size

It has been seen that Smartphone screens have increased over time and based on consumer demand. Samsung’s very first Galaxy S series mobile had a 4.00-inch screen size and now Galaxy S10 plus sports a 6.4-inch large screen. In recent times, when you buy a Smartphone, you should consider only those phones with 5.00 inches or larger screens to gain better experience.

2. Screen Resolution

When it comes to display clarity, screen resolution matters. Larger resolution improves the quality of the display. In today’s time phones have a screen of at least 720p and some high-end phones have a screen of 4k or 2160p. For any Smartphone user, however, 1080p is a sweet spot.

3. Camera

Smartphones currently have 8 MP and above cameras, and some of them also have multiple cameras. The end result of each camera setup is different, but the minimum resolution of the camera you should consider is 8 to 12 MP

4. Memory

There are two types of storage on a Smartphone; random access memory (RAM) and read-only memory (Storage). Today’s smart phones range from 2 GBs to 12 GBs of RAM and 16 GBs to 256 GBs of Memory. Only the consumer and their use will decide how much RAM and ROM they want to buy a Smartphone.

5. Chipset

A chipset is a group of interdependent motherboard chips or integrated circuits that control the flow of data and instructions between the central processing unit (CPU) or microprocessor and external devices. A chipset controls external buses, memory cache and some peripherals.

Chipset is one of a phone’s most overlooked features when it comes to a large portion of consumers when buying a Smartphone because electronics consumers know little about the types and nature of the chipset. Two manufacturers of chipsets have the largest Smartphone market share; Qualcomm chipsets and Mediatek chipsets.

6. In Qualcomm

There are 200, 400, 600, 700 and 800 series in Qualcomm chipsets, with the 200 series being low and the 800 series being high-end chipsets. Most smartphone brands use the Qualcomm Series 800 on their flagship or high-end phones.

7. In Mediatek

There are three different series: the MT series, the Helio P and the Helio X series, the low-end MT series, and the high-end Helio X series. Most flagship phones use the Helio X series.

Some manufacturers also make their own chipsets, such as Huawei’s Kirin, Samsung’s Exynos, and Apple’s own Apple A series of chipsets.

8. Battery Size

If you’re planning playing games, streaming videos and multitasking; this makes you a heavy smart phone user and you need a large battery. Smartphone batteries normally range between 2000MAH and 4000 + MAH. When buying a smartphone, the least capacity you should consider is 3000MAH.
